SPARTANBURG, S.C., June 15, 2022 – Akiyama today announced the launch of its biometric collection case, VERO MATCH, advancing the landscape of the global, mobile security and identification market. Built using the FIVE-0 fingerprint scanner from Integrated Biometrics (IB), VERO MATCH enables FBI-certified, FAP 50, 10-finger enrollment and verification in a compact, modular design.
Akiyama’s innovative approach to the VERO expanded on a portable solution originally completed in 2018 for the Federal Police of Brazil featuring a notebook and Integrated Biometrics Kojak 10-finger desktop fingerprint scanner. The new VERO MATCH incorporates a smartphone, IB’s FIVE-0 fingerprint scanner and IDEMIA’s Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) integrated into an application that will again, be used by the Federal Police. It enables faster, easier processing for the capture of biometric fingerprints and facial images in congested environments such as transportation lines, immigration controls and police checkpoints. The equipment dramatically reduces the possibility of misrepresentation or falsified documents.
“In this post-pandemic environment, with the need for quick, accurate biometric identification, VERO is the solution to fulfill the needs of the Federal Police and the security and identification market,” said Matheus von Biveniczko Tomio, Product Manager, Vero’s creator.
“Its unique configuration and size, along with Five-0’s ruggedness, low power consumption and usability make VERO MATCH one of the maket’s most flexible products,” said David Gerulski, EVP, Integrated Biometrics. “We are pleased to be an intregal part of this distinctive solution.”
Akiyama takes advantage of its participation in the 2022 ID4Africa on June 15th and 16th, in Morocco, to make this announcement.
