ASHTABULA, OHIO — Integrated Biometrics strategic partner ID Networks has announced that its FingerID mobile identification software has recently been certified by the FBI. This recognition is in concert with FingerID’s integration into the Watson two-finger roll scanner, and is the first certification for ID Networks in the mobile ID category.
“The certification process was very thorough,” Derek Tapper of ID Networks said, adding, “MITRE and the FBI put a lot of effort into maintaining and enforcing the standards necessary to ensure biometric data is being captured appropriately. The certification process can be very time consuming, but it is important to ensure that mobile ID systems, such as FingerID, are providing end users with accurate biometric data.”
The MITRE Corporation is a not-for-profit company operating multiple research and development centers funded by the Federal government to address critical challenges in defense and intelligence, civil systems, homeland security and others.
Specializing in local and regional law enforcement applications, ID Networks is a veteran records management and identification technologies company for the criminal justice market. For more information click here.
