New deployment expands access to mobile ID tools for police and border security operations
Spartanburg, SC, 10 August 2026 — Integrated Biometrics (IB), the leading provider of advanced biometric fingerprint scanners and comprehensive identity management software, acknowledged the public announcement by the General Inspectorate of Police of the Republic of Moldova regarding the deployment of biometric identification equipment used to support law enforcement operations.
Moldovan Police stated that 14 biometric devices were donated as part of an INTERPOL-led initiative and will be used to collect and verify biometric data through the INTERPOL BIOHUB platform to assist in the identification of internationally wanted persons. The equipment will support both national and international law enforcement operations.1
The deployment was announced following an “I-FORCE for Operation HOTSPOT” training workshop organized under INTERPOL’s Regional Law Enforcement Project and attended by Moldovan law enforcement personnel, forensic specialists, border police officers, and information technology professionals. The program focused on biometric identification, information sharing, and the integration of modern technologies into law enforcement operations.
