Delivered by the Mobility ID Consortium—including SERTRACEN, GET Group, Midas Dominicana, and Thomas Greg & Sons—the multi-year program provides a modern, standards-based platform with advanced security features and integrated biometric verification.
The system was inaugurated with the issuance of the first driver’s license to Luis Abinader, President of the Dominican Republic, using Integrated Biometrics’ Kojak fingerprint scanner, demonstrating fast, accurate enrollment in a live production environment.
The new platform meets international standards and introduces:
- Secure, tamper-resistant credentials
- Biometric identity verification
- Digital and mobile license capabilities
- Integrated national data systems
The rollout expands access from 14 to 32 issuance locations, including international consulates, and is designed to support more than 11 million citizens.
