Integrated Biometrics Watson Mini Helps Drive Sales of Credence ID’s Trident® Biometric Capture Device

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Watson Mini from Integrated Biometrics, developers of the world’s smallest and lightest FBI-compliant fingerprint scanners, is helping drive sales for Credence ID’s Trident biometric capture device, an Android™-based dual iris/fingerprint identification and enrollment platform.

More than 500 units have been sold since the Watson Mini – a Mobile ID IQS FAP 45, Appendix F certified scanner and SDK – was incorporated into the Trident this year to create a high-performance mobile solution.

The Trident collects simultaneous dual-iris images in any light condition, with the roughly 2.5” square Watson Mini seamlessly integrated on top of the device with an Android mobile operating system. One of the major deployments for the Trident so far has been in Southeast Asia where the device is used for criminal booking, forensic adjudication, and interfacing with intelligence platforms.
