Integrated Biometrics Congratulates Tascent on Mobile Biometric Platform for iPhone

Tascent M6 - Integrated Biometrics 600pxSPARTANBURG, S.C. & LOS GATOS, CALIF. — Integrated Biometrics, LLC, developers of the most compact, lightweight and energy-efficient FBI-certified fingerprint scanners in the world, congratulates strategic partner Tascent™, Inc. on its release of Tascent M6, its latest generation mobile biometric device.

Used with the Apple® iPhone® 6 or 6s, Tascent M6 provides an intuitive and powerful multimodal biometric platform for a wide variety of identification applications ranging from consumer travel and financial services to public safety and humanitarian aid.

“The use of advanced, mobile biometric sensors integrated with smartphones reached a turning point in 2015 and is expected to continue growing at a very high rate,” Steve Thies, Integrated Biometrics CEO said, adding, “Outstanding innovations like the Tascent M6 are helping to lead this new charge.”

The Tascent M6 uses world-class biometric sensors including Integrated Biometrics’ Sherlock FBI Appendix F Certified FAP 45 two-finger roll scanner. Weighing at an incredibly light 60 grams, Sherlock enables fast, quality fingerprint capture in embedded mobile applications and in combination with commercial smartphones and tablets in any conditions, including bright sunlight.

All Integrated Biometrics products utilize the company’s innovative, patented light emitting sensor (LES) film, the only biometric technology that can meet the stringent image performance requirements of the FBI in a “thin” form factor (less than 1 mm thick). Whether integrating with smartphones, tablets, or other mobile solutions, LES fuels the smallest and lightest forensic quality roll scanners available in the market today, 90-95 percent smaller and lighter than optical scanners.
