Component Shortage Concerns

To: IB Partners and End-Users
Time: February 5, 2021

To Whom it May Concern,

The Covid 19 pandemic has created a chip and component supply shortage across the world.

The pandemic is an extraordinary global event and is above the control of Integrated Biometrics and our suppliers. The disruptions to the global supply chain has caused delays in countless contracts worldwide. Integrated Biometrics has unexpectedly been caught up in the shortfall of electronic components required to manufacture our products.

We are working closely with our supply chain to manage the manufacturing impact caused by these shortages. We continue to manufacture our fingerprint sensors using the components available. We are implementing extraordinary measures to secure components including, but not limited to, paying premiums, expediting fees, shipping costs and using higher cost alternatives when available.

Your business and satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us. The entire IB organization is engaged in addressing this issue, and we are making every effort to produce and deliver our products per agreed upon schedules; however, we must anticipate that there might be delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we attempt to deliver quickly without compromising quality.

We will provide updates regarding this situation at regular intervals. Please contact me directly via phone or e-mail if you have questions.

Sincerely,
David Gerulski
Executive Vice President
